September 10, 2020 News

Anyone ready for a social gathering with a little business too?  We have a unique situation this year, but must press on.

We are scheduled to be at Bedrock in Grand Saline for a social gathering and Business meeting (if we have 7 members present) September 21-23, 2020.  If you can’t stay, but want to attend business meeting, we will have it Wednesday (23rd) as we have in the past. Some of us will be there the entire three days.  If you are comfortable with this gathering, we look forward to seeing you there.  If you DO NOT plan to attend, we understand.

We are ok now, as far as the required officers:
Dennis Moser, President
Jerry Scott, Vice President
Susie Chiles, Secretary
Shirley Hamilton, Treasurer
Ray Hamilton, Wagon Master

Dennis & Jerry have agreed to stay for 2021. H.L. (Wagon Master) declined to stay another year so  Ray (Assistant Wagon Master) has agreed to step up and take the position of Wagon Master.

Our dues ($15.00) should be paid soon.  They are due along with the corrected roster by November 15 (we are not sure if we can have another gathering). We also need to make decisions for our annual charity donation.

Please check over your Membership Roster and if there are any corrections I need to make, let me know, the corrected roster will also be due November 15. Ron & Renee Bouillon will continue as our State Directors.  Jay and Gloria Delmar have decided to step down as Assistant State Directors and they are asking for any volunteers who would like to fill their positions to please contact them.

We miss you and would love to see everyone but certainly understand if some are not comfortable with gatherings.

Our prayers continue for each and everyone of you, for your good health and safety during this trying and unusual time.

Susie Chiles
Secretary

Susie’s Sillies  (A little kid humor)

An 8 yr old asked, “Why does that sign tell you there is a hidden drive? Not much of a secret if they tell you.”

In a restaurant a six year old asked: “Why do they call them waiters when we are the ones that have to wait?”

A girl asked, “Why do we have to pay extra to substitute chicken for beef on our tacos?” Her little sister replied,  “Because chickens are harder to catch than cows!”

A little girl and a little boy were crying, when asked what the problem was, the girl responded, “He bit me!” The parent asked, “Well, did you bite him back?” And the girl responded, “No, I bit him on the arm!”
